Former Stanley Ranch Transferred to Walker River Paiute Tribe

The Walker Basin Restoration Program (Program) reconveyed 158 acres of the former Stanley Ranch property and associated Bureau of Land Management grazing permits to the Walker River Paiute Tribe.  Reconveyance of this land will address a longstanding trespass issue wherein the property had encroached upon Tribal lands for many years. 

 
 
 
 

Walker Basin Conservancy gives area youth experience in resource management

Six Yerington High School seniors and recent graduates will gain valuable experience this summer with Walker Basin Conservancy’s Youth Conservation Crew. The Youth Conservation Crew (YCC) program began May 30 and will end Aug. 30
