Community Planting Day!
Make an impact by helping plant the new pollinator garden at the Walker River State Recreation Area! The garden is ready and the Conservancy will be planting hundreds of native Nevada plants to support pollinator habitat at this outstanding state park. We will begin planting at 1pm and go until 5pm. There is no need to stay the entire time, just as long as you’d like. The Conservancy will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs, and other snacks for guest! We recommend you bring water and gloves for the work. We will also have kids activities like painting pumpkins and more! This family friendly event is for all ages so make plans to attend and leave a lasting legacy by helping install this new and soon to be beautiful pollinator garden! To RSVP or for questions, please contact Community Engagement Manager, Brice Boland at brice.boland@walkerbasin.org or at 775-463-9887 x 112.
